10th Assembly: Hon. Anamero Enjoins Members-elect To Support Abbas' Endorsement

Hon. Anamero Dekeri, Member-elect for Etsako Federal Constituency, Edo State has commended his party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) for endorsing Hon. Tajudeen Abbas.

Anamero said this while responding to questions from newsmen in his office today.

While commending his party, Anamero pointed out that party's supremacy is sacrosanct and members-elect should demonstrate that while aligning with the party's decisions.

Hon. Anamero, who is a pioneer and a frontier for the T.J.Abbas Speakership project, described the party's zoning and endorsement as "game changer targeted at the smooth running of the incoming administration.

Hon. Tajudeen is a third term lawmaker who has just been elected for fourth term, has either been a deputy chairman or chairman of several House committees such as legislative compliance, solid minerals, land transport, including chairmanship of several adhoc committees between 2015 and 2022.

"How else can one be qualified or adjudged to possessed the required capacity than the above rich credentials? Hon. Anamero asked hysterically.

Speaking further, Hon Anamero said "zoning and endorsement is prevalent in party politics and those who does not fall within the catchment of the zoning should take it in good fate.

He enjoins Members-elect to support, mobilize and vote the endorsed candidate, "and most accepted candidate for the 10th Speakership, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas in the forthcoming House Speaker Election" Noting that zoning is s not peculiar to Nigeria but widespread in other clime even in developed democracy.

Speaking about Hon. T.J. Abbas qualifications or capacity for the House Speakership, Hon. Anamero Dekeri said "Hon. Abbas Tajudeen is eminently qualified on account of his rich legislative experience, versatility, capacity and unmatched skill in human relation, with a career spanning over four decades, during which he functioned variously as a teacher, private sector operator and finally a lawmaker. He moved over 10 motions, has a record of 73 bills of which 21 has been assented to by Mr. president, according to the Act of National Assembly and the Federal Republic of Nigerìa.

"Hon. Abbas Tajudeen has acquired a lot of experiences which has prepared him adequately for the position he now aspires to.

"All of these are required ingredients for anyone seeking to lead the House.

"Dr. Abbas come highly prepared and ready to provide qualitative leadership to his colleagues in the House of Representatives.

"I can tell you authoritatively that Hon. Abbas Tajudeen fit perfectly into the category of quality individuals that Asiwaju would look forward to working with.

"The emergence of Hon. T.J. Abbas as Speaker would strengthen the performance of the House, enhance service delivery to the Nigerian people, promote transparency in the conduct of legislative duties and deliver a people-parliament that Nigerians would be proud of" he said.
