2023: "If Abia APC Ends Up Without A Guber Candidate, So Be It" -Daniel Eke Insists On Re-run
Daniel Eke, US based chartered accountant and guber aspirant under the platform of the All progressives congress(APC) in Abia State has continued to protest against the guber primary elections conducted in the state on the 26th of May, 2022 reiterating no such exercise took place in the state.

According to Eke fellow aspirants were kept in the dark concerning the modalities, Venue, time and other relevant information regarding the election exercise and hence shouldn't be considered as an event that took place.

In an interview with ARISE TV, monitored by All Facts Newspaper on Wednesday, June 15, he stated that the APC at the National level, is trying to impose High Chief Ikechi Emenike on them which he described as unacceptable, adding that every other aspirant in the party was vibrant and eligible and if eventually the APC fails to field a guber candidate for the 2023 guber election. "then so be it".

He said: "Emenike was on imposition on Abia APC, The National Working Committee approved a direct primary, Emenike did otherwise and that amounts to illegality and anomaly. I will make sure that I pursue this case and if it results to APC not having any candidate, so be it as it will serve as a deterrent and a lesson so others would learn and do the right thing."

He called on INEC to set another date for a re-run of the primary election in the state to enable them elect a flag bearer for the party. He has however vowed to support whoever clinches the party's ticket.

Recall that on the 26th of May 2022, Former Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Chief Uchechukwu Ogah and the leader of the All Progressive Congress, Hon. Ikechi Emenike were both declared winners under two factions in the All Progressive Congress in the said guber primary elections.
