2023: Southeast Youths Endorse Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji For Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency

The youths under the auspices of Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) made this known in a press statement signed by their President-General, Honourable Goodluck Ibem and the Publicity Secretary, Comrade Okey Nwaoru and made available to news men in Umuahia on Monday.

The youths who premised their endorsement of the Speaker's candidacy on his "transformational performance in the House of AssemblyÔÇØ and as one who "has built capacity for the future and has not thought about himself but about generations after himÔÇØ, said the wave of the current political dispensation is based on excellence in performance above any primordial consideration.

The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders, COSEYL, which is an apex sociopolitical youth group in the south east geopolitical zone emphasised that after an on the spot assessment of the litany of achievements by Right Honourable Chinedum Orji as the member representing Umuahia State Constituency and the Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, it can confirm that the Abia Speaker is the most suitable candidate to represent the good people of Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives come 2023.

According to the group, "Right Honourable Chinedum Orji's transformational performance in the House of Assembly has shown that he is a trans-generational thinker who is serving his people for the sake of the future. He has built capacity for the future and has not thought about just himself but also generations after him. He carries the well-being of his people on his shoulders.

"The current performance of Right Honourable Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji at the Abia State House of Assembly clearly shows that he has passion for his assignment and duties as a lawmaker and Speaker.

"The more passionate an individual is about his business or work, the more positive energy the individual brings. Oprah Winfrey once said, "Passion shapes our existence, fuels the fire of inspiration and opens us up to opportunities and changes around us.

"From the sample of opinions we conducted in a majority of the communities that make up the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency, the people are very happy that Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, a man of passion, ability and capacity, judged to have performed exceedingly well so far in the assignment given him, has agreed to make himself available for further service to the people at the Federal House of Representatives come 2023.

Continuing, the Coalition said, "Orji is passionate about the greatness of his people and with him in the saddle, the people will experience prosperity and transformation in all ramifications.

"His antecedent has shown that he is a man that will always promote the spirit of brotherhood, togetherness and peace among the people irrespective of differences in status, party, faith, background etc.

"Based on the foregoing, we urge the good people of Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency to ignore the antics of anti-democratic forces who have thrown up primordial considerations as their campaign strategy, and focus on Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji whose antecedents have proved beyond every reasonable doubt that he is the tested candidate who the people can trustÔÇØ, the statement concluded.
