As the drumbeats of the 2027 general elections begin to echo across Nigeria's political landscape, influential legal minds and political stakeholders from Abia North have thrown their weight behind Chief Emeka Kalu, declaring this the most strategic and timely moment for Bende to reclaim its voice in the Nigerian Senate.

In a bold political move that signals a shift in Abia North's senatorial dynamics, a coalition of legal experts drawn from across all the local government areas of Abia State has rallied behind Amaogwu-Bende-born Chief Emeka Kalu, calling for unified support to ensure his emergence as the next Senator representing the zone in 2027.

According to the coalition, the time has come to rewire the region's political circuitry and position a tested, trusted, and competent son of the soil for national legislative leadership. They described the current atmosphere as "the most timely timed season" for action.

"The political tide is changing, and Bende must not be left behind. Chief Emeka Kalu is a candidate whose time has come. The project to install him at the Senate must be treated with the urgency and seriousness it deserves," one of the stakeholders said.

To underscore the seriousness of the movement, a ten-man legal and political advisory team-comprising election litigation experts and consultants-has been inaugurated and integrated to guide and support the ambition of Chief Kalu. The team is being led by two Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs), with Emelike Okorie Esq continuing in his role as legal counsel.

"This is not just about politics; it is about strategic repositioning, about giving Bende and Abia North a voice that echoes across the nation," Emelike Okorie Esq wrote from Lagos in a passionate statement.

He emphasized that the groundwork for 2027 is already being laid and that the people of Bende must seize this opportunity to support a candidate who represents integrity, progress, and purposeful leadership.

"A tsunami is in the offing that will alter the political status quo. It is not by coincidence but by deliberate and strategic design," he added.
