45 patients recover, discharged from COVID-19 in Lagos

Forty-five patients undergoing coronavirus treatment at isolation centres in Lagos State have been discharged after testing negative twice for the virus.

The Lagos COVID-19 Incident Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, made this known in a statement on Saturday.

He noted that those discharged comprised 22 females and 23 males.

With the 45 patients that were discharged on Saturday, a total of 707 recoveries have been recorded in Lagos.

He said, "I bring you great news from our isolation facilities. Today, 45 fully recovered COVID-19 Lagos patients; 22 females and 23 males, all Nigerians, were discharged to join the society.

"The patients - 19 from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, three from Onikan, eight from Agidingbi, seven from Lekki, one from Eti-Osa (LandMark) and seven from Lagos University Teaching Hospital Isolation Centres were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative to COVID-19.

"With this, the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from our Isolation facilities has risen to 707."

He urged Lagos residents to assist the government in curbing the spread of COVID-19.
