The Abia Leadership Academy has successfully concluded its pioneer 7-day leadership training program, which began on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Government College, Umuahia. A total of 250 young participants between the ages of 16 and 20 were part of this historic first cohort, and the reactions gathered today at the close of the program highlight the transformative impact of the academy.
The initiative, powered by the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex C. Otti, OFR, is designed to prepare the next generation of leaders for the demands of governance, innovation, and service in a rapidly changing world. It is expected that 1,000 young Abians will pass through the academy before the end of 2025, with new cohorts resuming in the coming weeks.
