The former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chieftain of All Progressive Congress, (APC), Lt. General Azubuike Onyeabor Ihejirika, Rtd, has congratulated the winner of the just concluded Aba North/South bye election that held on Saturday, 27th March, 2021.

In a press release made available to AF NEWS, the former COAS, congratulated the People's Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Hon. Chimaobi Ebisike for winning the election and also advised him to focus on his new task and use his legislative position to add value to the lives of Aba people, in particular and Ndi Abia in general.

In the same release, the General, thanked Abia State Government, INEC and security agencies, in Abia, for conducting a peaceful election. He maintained that the desire of every elder statesman, should be to see elections conducted in peaceful atmosphere to encourage democracy and improve co-existence.

He advised that, now that the election is over, everyone should work together to the advantage & interest of the people.
