ABIA 2023: Don't Let Anyone Buy Your Conscience - Gen. Ijioma Charge APGA Delegates

Frontline 2023 Abia gubernatorial aspirant under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Gen. Ijioma N Ijioma (retd), charged party delegates and LG Chairmen not to allow their conscience to be bought over ahead of the primary election.

Gen. Ijioma while addressing the delegates in his campaign office in Umuahia, stated that he is the best aspirant to bear the party's ticket for the 2023 election.

Ijioma noted that he is the best among the 4 governorship aspirants who have applied to fly the flag of APGA, win the governorship election, defend their mandate and change the face of Abia state.
He charged the party to make good use of the unique opportunity presented to the party through him, and take over the state government from the PDP and not give ticket to political merchants.

"I am the opportunityÔÇØ he stated.

"You are our employers, employ the best. If you make the mistake of employing the wrong person in the 2023 governorship election, we will all be doomed, General Ijioma charged the chairmen.

He promised to give rapt attention to the challenges facing local government areas, the state at large if he eventually emerges as the party's flag bearer at the primary, and wins the 2023 guber election

He also charged the delegates to examine the character, physical and medical fitness as well as mental cum family history of aspirants who want to occupy the governorship position before taking decision.
Ijioma noted that Abians made their first mistake by allowing the People's Democratic Party to rule for years. He called on them not to make a second mistake of allowing a continuum come 2023.
"The situation of Abia is so serious that we cannot afford another 4 years of unserious people sitting on that chair".

The hopeful governorship aspirant expressed confidence that the state can be transformed to look like somewhere in Europe using the resources available.
Ijioma assured that he is not in the race to pocket public funds but to use Abia resources to develop the state and increase the life span of the people.

He noted that great damage has been done to Abia state which requires a great deal of work to repair the state.

"Great damage has been done to this state; it will take someone like me to repair it. Every structure in Abia is damaged; there is nothing to boast of in Abia, he said.
Responding, Bende Local government chairman, Peter Chijioke Azubuike, appreciated the capacity of Ijioma, noting that his aspiration will come to fulfilment if it's God's will.

On his own part, Anthony Mathew, Osisioma LG Chairman, lauded Ijioma for being a real party man and believing in the chairmen.
The five points agenda of Gen. Ijioma is to; Rescue, Repair, Rebuild, Restore and Rebirth Abia
