Abia State High court sitting in Aba, has dismissed the preliminary objection of Hon. Acho Obioma as the state Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), by Chief Ikechi Emenike led faction.

The Court held that the issue of power tussle in Abia State APC is beyond the family concerns of the APC, adding that rules of the APC is flouted and the Court cannot fold its hand in the face of flagrant abuse of the orders of the Court.

Legal representative of Obioma, Etigwe Uwa SAN, giving his submission, noted that "in the face of such abuse already confirmed by the Counsel to Ikechi Emenike faction V. C. Nwankwo Esq and ascertained by the Court, the only option available to the court is to set all actions already undertaken by Ikechi Emenike faction including the substitution of late Enyinna Harbour aside."
