ABIA: APC makes strong in road in Umuahia South, as top PDP members defect with large followers

The major PDP members in Umuahia South who defected to the APC were Barr. Paul Nwabuisi (Former Assistant Legal Adviser, Abia State PDP), Mr. Chile Ahaiwe and Mr. Obi Onwukaike (Former Ubakala Ward A, PDP Chairman).

In his welcome speech, the L.G.A. Party Chairman, Chief David Edoh stated that the new defectors into the party are well valued and their coming into the party is something that will bring growth to the party. He further stated that APC in Abia State will surpass whatever has been done in the past and is on its way to displace PDP as the ruling party in the state.

While speaking on behalf of the defectors, Barr. Paul Nwabuisi assured APC that with them in the party, Umuahia South is now an APC Local Government Area. He revealed that they were the ones that made PDP thick and that now they have left the party, the is finished. He revealed that they left the PDP due to numerous injustice they were experiencing in the party and they believe they will correct all this ill treatment through the APC. More than 1000 followers of the prominent defectors defected same day.

Estate Surveyor Mark Ugorgi while congratulating the new members stated that whatever must be done to make APC take over the government must be done. He further renewed his commitment in seeing to it that APC grows with all his resources in Umuahia South and Abia State in general.

Hon. Chijioke Nwachukwu announced that registration for the people of Ubakala, Umuokpara and Nsiriimo will commence on the Saturday, 13th of February, 2021.
