A fresh wave of political excitement has swept through Abia State following the appointment of Hon. High-Chief Victor Ikeji, Ph.D, as Commissioner representing the state at the Federal Character Commission (FCC), a development that insiders say is long overdue and deeply symbolic of Abia's growing relevance in national governance.
The appointment, approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has now been formally acknowledged and celebrated by prominent Abia stakeholders, with the family of Royal High Chief and Lolo Chiagozie Ben Nwosu (Nwajiu-Ugo Ndigbo Dum) describing it as a well-deserved recognition of competence, integrity, and years of selfless service to the nation.
In a congratulatory message released on Wednesday, the Nwosu family noted that Ikeji's elevation is not accidental but a deliberate move to strengthen fairness, equity, and inclusion in the federal system. According to the statement, his intellectual depth, patriotism, and leadership experience make him exceptionally qualified for the sensitive role at the FCC.
