Abia Glorious Movement, Widows, Endorse Bishop Nwankpa, AP Guber Candidate | PHOTO/VIDEO
A group, Abia Glorious Movement has adopted Bishop Emeka Nwankpa, the governorship candidate of Accord Party (AP) in Abia State as their sole candidate ahead of the 2023 election.

The movement in their numbers collapsed their political structure into Nwankpa's on Friday, October 21 during a visit to Bishop Nwankpa at his country home in Isiala Ngwa North Local government area of Abia state.

Speaking on behalf of the delegates who cuts across the 17 Local Government Areas of the state, Mr Emeka Nwangoro, the organizing secretary and Abia North zonal chairman, Accord Party, noted that they decided to adopt Nwankpa because 'he is the righteous man God sent to change Abia'.
The group described Nwankpa as a man who knows the pains of the people because he has passed through the challenges the people are facing.

They lauded the humanitarian works Bishop Nwankpa has been doing for students, widows, and others.

"We have met and we have decided to endorse you because we want change. By 2023, we will march with you to the government house. This is the righteous man that will change Abia. We have been dreaming of a new Abia, it has come now" Abia Glorious Movement said.

On the other hand, Ugwu Nwanyi bu di ya widows association, oji ogu Eri in Isialangwa south local government area, also endorsed the candidacy of Bishop Nwankpa lauding his philanthropic works . They assured Nwankpa of their total support come 2023.

Addressing the groups, Bishop Nwankpa lauded them for "choosing to identify with victory".

The governorship hopeful stated that he decided to contest for the seat because Abia state is not where it is supposed to be when compared with sister states.

" I came with a very good mind. If Abia is good and is the way it should be, I wouldn't have contested but I am here because Abia is not good and those coming out are not good. I have sacrificed myself to make Abia better" Nwankpa said.
Nwankpa expressed confidence that he is better than all other governorship candidate, adding that ' I am the next governor of Abia state'.
