Abia Guber Battle Heads To Court, As Labour Party Obtains Court Order To Inspect Election Materials

The battle for the Abia State 2023 gubernatorial election which produced Dr. Alex Chioma Otti OFR as Governor-Elect, has moved to the court with the People's Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate Chief Okey Ahiwe challenging the victory of Otti.

Based on court papers that were made available to ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER, the governorship tribunal sitting in Umuahia has granted the Labour Party and Governor-Elect their request of inspecting the materials used by INEC during the election.
Recall that during the collation of the governorship results, Labour Party had rejected and queried the election results coming from Isiala Ngwa North and South LGAs.

It is important to state that the PDP has equally obtained the same order of the tribunal to inspect election materials.
