ABIA: Hon. Okey Igwe Donates N1M To Chieze Youths Electricity Project In Umunneochi

The Honorable Member representing Umunneochi State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Chief Okey Igwe, has donated 1M naira to Chieze Progressive Youths in support of the "Light Chieze electricity project".

Hon. Igwe who made the donation on Thursday, November 25, 2021 stated that he has a firm belief in unstoppable power of communities and people of good will uniting around a common cause to advance the society.
He assured the people of Umunneochi that they will continue to have his support if they conceive of a purposeful project.

Igwe advised other communities to emulate Umunneochi, gather resources to help develop their areas and not relying entirely on the government.
The restoration of the long lost electricity supply in Umunneochi was facilitated by Hon. Okey Igwe during his tenure as executive chairman of Umunneochi LGA. He has continued to champion the electricity restoration project in the House of Assembly, through Hon. Okey Igwe's Energize Umunneochi Scheme.
