ABIA: Isu community under attack again

On Monday 3rd February 2020 the people of Isu community in Arochukwu LGA, were yet again attacked following a long communal land struggle with their neighboring committee Utuma/Ukwa clans in cross river.

It was reported that she neighboring community laid siege over the Isu people, there was serious gun battle and some of the indigenes have been declared missing.

Speaking with AFNews the member representing Arochukwu state constituency in the Abia house of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha confirmed the report and assured that he has reached out to the commissioner of police and a team has been dispatched to curtail the situation.

He further called upon the Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu to wade in on the matter so as to prevent further lives and property, he also enjoined his colleague in cross River to help foster peace in and around the communities
