Abia LGA Election[ABSIEC): Court Stops Election, Restrains PDP from fielding candidates

Based on court papers made available to AFNEWS, a High Court in Abia State has restrained Abia State Independent Electoral Commission {ABSIEC} from conducting the planned local government election until the matters in court are treated.

In the same court paper filed by one Chief Ebere Nwachukwu from Isialangwa South LGA, the court also restrained PDP Abia State from submitting any name as candidates for the suspended LGA election.
In the court papers, both ABSIEC and Abia State PDP are respondents.
