ABIA: New Leadership For Umuasua Progressive Association (UPA) In Isuikwuato LGA Emerges

The election which was presided over by Mr. Austine Odinachi Ucheibe, Chief Sir Isaiah Ndubuisi Ojiulor and Pastor Ugochukwu Igbokwe saw the emergence of Mr. Ozoemenam Ndubuisi Igbokwe as the new President General of Umuasua, Honorable Chijioke Igbokwe as Vice President, Comrade Emenike Jason Iroegbu as Secretary General, Mr. Chidozie Stanley Onwuka as Financial Secretary, Honorable George Onyenacheya Elechi as Treasurer, Engineer Kenneth Okechukwu Ogwo as Publicity Secretary, Honorable Clinton Chukwunyere and Onyinyechi Dike as Provost 1 and 2 respectively.

While giving his acceptance speech, the newly elected President General Mr. Ozoemenam Ndubuisi Igbokwe, appreciated Umuasua people for showing commitment towards the community by coming out to participate in the process of electing new leaders, he assured them that the task ahead is huge, but with the collective support of the people it is achievable.

During the speech, he thanked Mr Uzodinma Emmanuel Ukeje, Kenneth Ahia SAN, Sir Lucky Johnson Nweke, Mr Victor Onyemkpa, Deacon Emmanuel Peters and other patriotic sons and daughters of the community for their selfless contribution towards the development of the community and reminded them that more commitment is expected now.

Before the election proper, the former President General of the Umuasua community, Chief Rotr Gideon Akanwoke reeled out numerous achievements of his administration and pleaded with the community to give more support to the new administration as to enable them achieve a lot more.

While advising the new Umuasua Progressive Association Inc. (UPA) leadership, Honorable Chief Beaty Ahia admonished them to always speak the truth, expose every negative vice in the community and make sure things are done correctly. She equally advised the community women to stop shielding their children who are involved in negative activities.

Another respected elder in Umuasua, Dr. Isaac Nnadi urged the community to support and back this new leadership ,he eulogized the idea of the President General of forming different committees that will look into different issues in Umuasua and proffer solutions.
