Abia State Peoples Democratic Party Acting Publicity Secretary cum Vice Chairman, Aba North Elder Abraham Amah has vowed that if he is in position to determine the next senator of Abia North, he would not canvass support for Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu who doubles as the Chief Whip in the National Assembly.

Amah who featured on AF-TELEVISION programme, 'Focal Point' on Thursday, highlighted that Senator Kalu's position on muslim-muslim ticket is unjustifiable in a country that is highly polarized religiously. "Even as a member of Peoples Democratic Party, I cannot for any reason imagine the presidential standard flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar should go for a muslim-muslim ticket, it is not healthy for a frail country like NigeriaÔÇØ he said.

The image maker of the party noted that what makes Nigeria outstanding is unity in diversity. He decried that the unity is truncated. Elder Amah reiterated that the only way to restore sanity in Nigeria is to have president and vice president from two major religions we have in Nigeria.

The Peoples Democratic Party spokesperson in the state also lamented that the voice of Abia North is not loud in the National Assembly as it was in the days of his predecessors noting that the lawmaker is associated with frivolities and clout chasing making the State a laughing stock because of the recent contributions of the senator on national issues.
