Abia PDP in Panic Mode: Ex-Ohafia Chairman Blasts Party Over 'Baseless Lies' Against Ude Oko Chukwu |MADE SERIOUS REVELATIONS

Former Ohafia Local Government Area Chairman, Comrade O'Brien Iroh, has launched a blistering attack on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Abia State chapter over what he described as a malicious, baseless, and politically desperate smear campaign against the immediate past Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu.

Reacting to a recent PDP press statement on Oko Chukwu's resignation from the party, Iroh dismissed the claims as "the tirade of a bunch of frustrated, confused, and fake peopleÔÇØ, accusing the party's State Working Committee (SWC) of engaging in political mudslinging instead of addressing the real issues that led to the former deputy governor's exit.

"If his exit is truly 'not a loss,' why is the PDP crying louder than the bereaved? Even a day-old baby can see they are deeply pained,ÔÇØ Iroh stated.

Iroh mocked the speed and emotional tone of the PDP's statement, calling it evidence of the party's deep hurt. He also described the party's attempt to rewrite history as laughable, reminding them that for over 20 years, PDP repeatedly handed Oko Chukwu the party ticket because he was a "sure-bankerÔÇØ for election victories - particularly in Nkporo/Ohafia LGA, which consistently delivered decisive votes for the party.

On IGR Allegations:

The former LGA boss rubbished PDP's claims that Oko Chukwu mismanaged the state's Internally Generated Revenue (IGR). He clarified that as chairman of the IGR Council, Oko Chukwu's role was to design and implement policies, not handle revenue collection.

"Within one year of his policies, IGR jumped from about N400 million to over N1 billion - a record that stands. He never nominated any revenue agent, nor touched a single kobo of the collections,ÔÇØ Iroh asserted.

He described PDP's narrative as an "own-goalÔÇØ, since it indirectly indicts their own government's handling of funds.

On Empowerment & Development:

Iroh further debunked PDP's claims about lack of empowerment and development, insisting Oko Chukwu's record of grassroots empowerment remains unmatched.

"Those spreading these lies were the same people who blocked him from the governorship ticket because they wanted Abia to remain in the sorry state it was,ÔÇØ Iroh said, praising Governor Alex Otti's current reforms.

Call to Abians:

Iroh urged the people of Abia to see through what he called "sponsored propaganda, political envy, and bitternessÔÇØ targeted at a leader who still enjoys massive grassroots support.

"Ude Oko Chukwu remains loved and trusted by his people. No amount of blackmail can erase his legacy,ÔÇØ Iroh concluded.

RE: PDP ABIA STATE CHAPTER'S PRESS STATEMENT ON THE RESIGNATION OF RT. HON. UDE OKO CHUKWU

The recent press statement issued by the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Abia State Chapter on the resignation of Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu is simply the tirade of a bunch of frustrated, confused, and fake people. Rather than the illicit and sterile SWC to be addressing the real issues that led to his resignation, they chose to launch a vicious attack on Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu's character and legacy. This style of political mudslinging and character assassination of who ever decides to cut tie with the halfwits in order not to be continued to be classed into same category of the dunce and dolts is an explicit pointer of dense bunch they are.

Their so called press release do not deserve his Excellency's response even me, but for the mass of his well wishers who begged me otherwise.

First, if his exit from the party "is not a loss", the whole of the so called SWC can not be crying. Even a day old baby will know that they are highly pained by his resignation. The emotions and sensation that the so-called press release is laden with, the speedy release (for no prompt) and it's meaningless and contentless content betrays their claim of not being pained.

It's unfortunate that a political party that claims to stand for democracy and good governance would resort to such malicious and defamatory tactics of falsehood.

Their claims about Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu's tenure as Deputy Governor and his management of the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of Abia State are not just baseless and unfounded but also amusing.

As the chairman of the IGR council, his role is primarily to design and formulate policies that will improve the IGR of the state. He did excellently on that and that was why within a year of his assumption of that role, due to the policies he formulated/introduced to the state, the IGR grew from about N400m they met to over N1b and continuous.

The statement that "the state was left in a worse fiscal condition, with no traceable infrastructure or economic transformation" is rather an own-goal against the government of PDP. And everyone knows (practically and theoretically) that the situation has nothing to do with the man who formulated the policies that rather boosted the IGR revenue. It's a fact and on record that Rt. Hon Ude Oko Chukwu for the 8 years he chaired the IGR council never nominated any revenue agent and was not in any way involved in the collection (and spending) of the revenue (and it was also intentional he avoided that); his role and interest starts and ends with good policies to grow the IGR. No matter what the so called SWC write or will write, every Abians know who and how Abia money was mismanaged; and except blackmailers like the so called SWC, no Abia has or will ever muddle up Rt. Hon Ude Oko Chukwu among those who fleece Abia.

Their own picture of benevolence "...for twenty long years, occupied prime positions of power under the benevolence of the PDP. " is laughable. The question is if Rt. Hon Ude Oko Chukwu is not worth it, why did the party kept, consistently, giving him the party ticket for the said 20 years? May be amnesia has made them forget, let me refresh their memory. They were giving him the party ticket for those 20 years because Ude Oko Chukwu was a "sure-banker" for the party to winning elections. That was why for the said 20 years, consistently, Nkporo/Ohafia LGA result remained the deciding/winning result for PDP in Abia. I thought that instead of this tirade, the so called SWC would have used their tongue to count their teeth - what is the story in 2023, the only time they introduced "jankara" democracy and excluded him from their claimed "benevolence" and the great people of Nkporo, Ohafia LGA and Abia State didn't see him on the the ballot. Analyse it properly, you'll see that it's rather the party that has been benefitting from his political sagacity.

All the other rigmarole of grip of political structure, lack of empowerment, lack of development, etc are just cock and bull stories. Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu's records of empowerment to his people have not been beaten (surpassed) till date. His efforts and achievements in lining up his people and area to be part of the development that happened within the state during those years are also clear. Ones effort can only yield result drivable form the set of cast of developments within those period. How many parts of the state, how many, during these years mentioned, attracted more development; where was the story better? That trajectory by the so called SWC is also another own-goal. Infact that was why Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu contested for the governorship ticket to change the tide, but those who wanted Abia to remain the sordid way it was (including the so called SWC members) acted obstinate to progress. Thank God for Dr Alex Otti now.

Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu's decision to resign from the PDP is a testament to his conviction that a change is necessary for the betterment of Abia State. His future actions will be guided by his commitment to the people of Abia State and his desire to serve them effectively.

Till tomorrow Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu resonates with the grass root of his people and Abia State; they love him, trust him and are at home with him and no amount of propaganda, sponsored media attack, political muslidings, envy and bitterness will sway that fact. His people, like genuine Abians see very clearly through the facade into the deep sited animosity of the political failures. Well meaning Abians are so happy with him that he has dis-entangled himself from the bunch of people who are not preoccupied with how to move Abia forward rather how to be someone's lackeys and be pursuing crumbs rapped with conditions of bastardizing their own party.

We urge the good people of Abia State to see through the PDP's malicious propaganda and judge Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu based on his track record of service and commitment to the development of the state.
