(BREAKING): Abia Speaker, Chinedum Orji Impeached Outside The Chamber | WATCH VIDEO
The speaker of the 7th Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engineer Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji has been impeached by some members of the House.

A trending video dated May 2, 2023 showed that the proceeding for the impeachment of Hon. Chinedum Orji was carried out outside the Abia State House of Assembly complex.
According to the deputy speaker, Honourable Ifeanyi Uchendu, Rt. Hon. Orji was impeached because of so many allegations against him.

Honourable Chukwudi Apugo who represents Umuahia East State constituency, was announced as the new speaker of the House.

Below is the list of lawmakers who signed for the impeachment of the speaker, however, Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, Hon. Abraham Obah, Hon. Paul Taribo did not impend their signatures.
