Abia Speaker Harps On Exemplary Living At Funeral Of Chief Mrs Nwachukwu

Speaking at the hometown of the deceased in Abayi Amangwu in Osisioma Ngwa LGA, the Speaker described Chief Mrs Cecilia Egonjiuka Appolos as a woman who lived an exemplary christian life in service to God and humanity.

While further describing the loss of a mother as a painful experience, the Speaker said death is an inevitable end of every mortal which is beyond the dictate and control of man. He therefore urged the family to be consoled by the fact that their mother lived a fulfilled life, and advised them to live in peace and unity.

He prayed God to grant the soul of their departed mother eternal rest.

Responding, Hon Obinna Nwachukwu described their late mother as a virtuous woman who practically lived her life for the wellbeing of others, saying she will be missed but that they will dwell on the exemplary life she lived while on earth.

He thanked the Speaker for coming to commiserate with them in their time of grief and prayed God to continue to bless and lift him.

Late Chief Mrs Cecilia Egonjiuka Appolos was the mother of Lady Joyce Chinedu Adiele, Commissioner in the Abia State Civil Service Commission and Hon Obinna Nwachukwu, Deputy State PDP Chairman. She was aged 84.

Augustine Akobundu rtd, Senator representing Abia South Senatorial District, Chief Enyinnaya Harcourt Abaribe, Member representing Isiala Ngwa North/South Federal Constituency, Rt Hon Darlington Nwokocha, Leader of Abia State House of Assembly, Hon Solomon Akpulonu, former Executive Chairman of Obingwa Local Government Area, Hon Ibe Nwoke, PDP stalwarts in the State, Members of the State Executive Council, women and youth groups, and a host of others.
