ABIA STATE: CULT GROUP INVADES IDIMA ABAM COMMUNITY, MACHETES NATIVES, AS EZESHIP TUSSLE ESCALATES (SEE PHOTOS)

A group of cult members known as the ''Red Chambers'' on Monday night (11th of November 2019), invaded Idima Abam Community, in Arochukwu L.G.A causing mayhem as they raped, kidnapped, assaulted and wounded indigenes of the area.

Based on the information made available to Abia Facts News, the problem started due to Ezeship Tussle in the Community, as another group allegedly sponsored by one Hon. Sampson Orji decided to transfer the ruler-ship structure of the area to a particular family.

According to our source, Hon. Sampson Orji and his group didn't follow due process as he went ahead to coronate one Mike Okorie as the new Eze of the area, pointing out that as a result of this development, the matter went to court and while the case is still in the legal process, this cult group moved to the house of the rightful family to whom the Ezeship resides known as the Ume family from Ndi Aworo Idima Abam, and threatened them to withdraw the matter from the court.

Ume family refused to withdraw the case from the court, the Red Chambers cult attacked them, raped and did all manner of things in the community, just as they attacked and matcheted one Hon. Jonah Chukwu who is currently receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Umuahia.

While speaking with Hon. Jonah Chukwu, He call on well meaning individuals and the State government to as a matter of urgency intervene in the ugly situation so as to bring back normalcy in Idima Abam community.

As at press, attempts were made to reach Hon. Sampson Orji, his phone was not available.
