Abia State Pensioners Arrest: Commissioner of finance exonerated

Members of the concerned Abia Pensioners that were reportedly arrested by Abia state police command is exonerating the commissioner for Finance, Dr. Aham Uko of any involvement in their ordeal.

Speaking during a visit to FLO FM in Umuahia, Secretary of the Group, Emeka Okezie and another member, Kalu John failed to mention the person behind their ordeal, but they stated that they never met with the commissioner for Finance as early alleged.

They explained further how police arrested them after applying for permission to hold a peaceful protest.
Recall that Abia state Police command on Thursday arrested two pensioners in Umuahia for allegedly organizing a protest against the state government for failure to pay their entitlements.
