ABIA STATE SECURITY ALERT, DREADED ARMED GANG TO STORM FINANCIAL INSTITUTION

The Nigerian Police Force Abia State Command is alerting the general public on an intelligence at the disposal of the State Government that a dreaded armed robbery gang is mopping up arms to launch attack on Financial Institutions in the state.

In a Press Release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Geoffrey Ogbonna directs as follows :

That Financial Institutions in the state to adopt extra security measures towards protecting their Institutions.

That all Hoteliers are to be watchful over people coming into their Hotels to lodge.

That General public should be weary of the gang and avoid carrying huge amount of money on transit.

According to the release, any member of the public with credible information that will lead to the arrest of members of this gang should give it directly to the Commissioner of Police for the purpose of absolute confidentiality.

The release further says that the state Government has placed the sum of N5million as a reward for any person who will volunteer information that will lead to the arrest of the gang members.

Members of the public are by this release assured of the state government and Abia Police Command's resolve to ensure the protection of life and property of all law abiding citizens of the state.
