The Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC) of the Abia State University Uturu Prof. Godwin Emezue has been kidnaped. The academic don was kidnapped around 7 pm on Friday 26th January 2024 while he was refueling his vehicle with his wife.

ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER gathered that the kidnappers said to be more than three in number, attacked Prof. Emezue at the fuel station and dragged him into a Lexus SUV after collecting his wife's ATM card.

This incident is said to have occurred at a fuel station located at Umuekwule, Amachara in Umuahia South LGA.

According to his wife, who was with him at the fuel station, she narrated that they immediately dragged Prof. Emezue into their car and sped away towards the Imo-Abia border towards the Malaysian market.

Given the unfortunate situation, the victim's family are requesting the security forces to act quickly to rescue him.
