Abia Tricycle Union: Eugene is a threat to state security, finance (VIDEO)

Specifically, the Secretary is calling on the State government to call the Chairman National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Abia State chapter Comrade Eugene Eze Job to order as his plan is to create insecurity and breed lawlessness in the State, through his newly formed Self Acquired Tricycle Operators Association (SATOA), which he has been using to forment trouble among various Tricycle Unions in Abia State.

He decried the level of force and intimation which the NURTW boss is deploying to harrass other unions, saying that such is not good at all for the state and union members.

Comrade Anyanwu further stated that recently, the State government directed all the tricycle operators in the state to do a data capturing in order to know the monthly revenue base accrueing from the union as well as to help in tackling insecurity, pointing out that other member unions have done it except the union which was formed by Eugene Eze Job so that Abia State government will not know the amount being generated to it on monthly basis.

When asked if the state government is aware of the crisis and intimidation going on in the union, the State Secretary noted that some time ago, the unions were invited by the Deputy Governor of the State with regards to the crisis and in the course of the meeting, the NURTW who also doubles as SATOA Chairman promised that he will direct his members to do the data capturing, regreting that uptil date, he has not done it.

He wondered while Eze Job should harass and intimidate other union members and stop them from making use of the loading bay provided by the State government, stressing that the NURTW does not want the government to know the number of Tricycles that is under his fleet and call on the State government to use all within its powers to ensure that there is peace among various Tricycle operators in the State.

Effort to reach Eugene Eze Job proved abortive as he was not picking his call.
