Abiapoly,Others to Get #1.68 Billion from Abia State Government

The Abia state government has released the sum of #1.68 billion to ministries,departments and agencies (MDAs) in the state.The governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu who disclosed this via his verified tweeter handle@GovernorIkpeazu said in addition to paying workers in Abia State MDAs their December 2020 salary on the 22nd ,subvention have also been released to some MDAs in the state.

He listed the MDAs to benefit from the #1.68 billion largesse to include;
-Health Management Board ,three months subvention totaling #225 million

-Abia State University Teaching Hospital 2 months subvention totaling #272 million

-Secondary Education Management Board,3 months subvention totaling #690 million
-Abia State University #300 million

-Abia state Polytechnic, 2 months subvention totaling the sum of #180 million.
The governor also promised that by January 2021,the parastatals will receive another tranche of similar amount they received after authentication and verification of their workers status using their bank details and bank verification number(BVN).
