ABSU N150K ACCEPTANCE FEE: ABHA SUSPENDS IMPLEMENTATION

The Abia State House of Assembly has suspended the implementation of what it called exorbitant acceptance fee placed on students by the Abia State University Uturu.

Honorable Ginger Onwusibe of Isialangwa North State constituency, raised the issue as a matter of urgent important stating that the N150,000.00 acceptance fee is too much considering the current economic situation in the country.

Other honorable members that supported his position included; Honorable Chukwudi Apugo representing Umuahia East state Constituency, Honorable Paul Taribo representing Ukwa West state Constituency.

The House later suspended the implementation until after the investigation by the its committee on Education.
