Atalanta's decision to reject Inter's Ôé¼45 million offer has triggered a standoff. Lookman, 27, is adamant about leaving this summer and has already handed in a transfer request.

He also released a statement claiming there was a prior agreement to facilitate his exit if a serious offer arrived.

Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi confirmed this agreement but clarified that it only applied to top clubs outside Serie A. This caveat has now become a major point of contention, especially as Lookman is strongly pushing for a move to Inter.

Despite his protest, Atalanta are under no obligation to sell to a domestic rival. While Lookman has distanced himself from training, reports suggest that the overall relationship between Atalanta and Inter remains respectful.
Inter's next move hinges on Atalanta's price tag
Despite the mutual respect, tensions with the player himself continue to rise. Lookman's stance is clear: he wants to join Cristian Chivu's Inter, and nothing less will suffice.

Inter have yet to walk away from the negotiation table. According to reports, they are still waiting on Atalanta to name their price for Serie A-based suitors.
