AFCON 2022: I Am Not Thinking About Breaking Records- Coach Augustine Eguavoen

Super Eagles interim coach, Augustine Eguavoen, has revealed that he is not thinking of making or breaking any records ahead of their African Cup of Nations(AFCON) clash with Sudan.
In their second Group D fixture, the three-time AFCON victors will battle the Falcons of Jediane in the ongoing 33rd AFCON in Cameroon on Saturday, the 15th of January 2021.

The 56- year who holds the record of being the only Nigerian coach to have led the Super Eagles squad through all three AFCON group phase matches unbeaten, disclosed ahead of the match that he was focused on winning the match rather than on records.

"I am focused on winning against Sudan for now. I don't want to think about any record or how we go about our third match. Sudan is in focus now and we have to deal with that, squarely.ÔÇØ

The Warri born coach led the Super Eagles to a bronze finish at the continental masterpiece in Egypt after beating Ghana, Zimbabwe and Senegal in the group stages in 2006.
