AFCON: Allen Onyema Promises Super Eagles Cash Price For Trophy Winning | DETAILS

Air Peace CEO, Allen Onyema has promised to gift the Super eagles of Nigeria 50 million naira if they succeed in their quest for continental glory by winning the highly coveted African Cup of Nations (AFCON) Trophy.

The African football giants kicked off their AFCON campaign in high spirit with a record breaking win against The Pharaohs of Egypt prompted by a distinctive strike by Leceister City's forward, Kelechi Iheanacho on Tuesday, the 11th of January 2022 in Garoua, Cameroon.

The 1-0 win made the Eagles N10m richer following Onyema's promise to pay the players the sum for every goal scored against the Pharaohs.

In a halftime video posted online, the entrepreneur said;

"For every goal you score today (Tuesday) against Egypt I'll give the team N10m. If you score five or 10, just multiply it,"

At the end of the day, when you bring this cup home, I'll wait for you with N50m. It's not about money, it's about the unity and progress of our nation because when you get back to Nigeria, people from the east, west, south and north are celebrating. You unify Nigeria, you are the unifying factor we need"
