The General made this call while receiving an award at the 4th edition of the AFNEWS award event which held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Dangrete Hotel Umuahia, Abia State.

The General went further to laud AFNEWS for conferring him with the personality of the year award, while also calling for support from all and sundry toward the establishment of a publishing house proposed to worth N10Million.

He noted that though he is a retired General, he is yet to retire as he has resolution to remain supportive to Abia state which is one of the key reasons that birthed his foundations; Ijioma New Deal Foundation (INDF), and Ijioma Leadership and Youth Development Association (ILAYDA) headquartered at No. 49 Macaulay Street, Umuahia.

Major General Ijioma called on all Abians home and in the Diaspora to be committed in the development of the state, adding that he is keen to ensure that value is added in Abia state.
