The group also adopted Hon. Solomon Akpulonu and Chief Erondu Uchenna Erondu,as her candidates for the Obingwa East and Obingwa West state constituencies, respectively.

The group, who stated this during its meeting in Aba, disclosed that it has assessed the profiles of candidates seeking the governorship position of the state and found the PDP candidate, a fit and proper person to govern the state in this period.

It explained that Ahiwe's maturity, humility, level headed and integrity makes him the right choice for the position, stressing that he repositioned the office of the chief of staff within the 3 months he held the position.

Coordinator of the group, Hon. Chidi Onyeije, however, urged the electorate to shun political parties that fielded candidates with divisive tendencies capable of setting the state on fire.

He said; "We have assessed all the candidates contesting for the governorship position in Abia State and found Chief Okey Ahiwe of the PDP as a fit and proper person for the governorship seat of the state. Ahiwe's maturity, integrity, humility and level headedness makes him the right choice for the position. Ahiwe repositioned the office of the chief of staff, Government House within the 3 months he held the position before his resignation to run for governor.

"As Abians, we know the history and background of each of the candidates. We know those who mean well for the state and those on a vendetta mission. We cannot afford to hand over Abia to candidates with divisive tendencies who will take the state backward and set it on fire.
