Annie's Foundation Celebrates Gov. Otti's Victory, Shares Palliatives To Widows In Abia | DETAILS + PHOTOS
Annie's Hope Foundation, founded by Ambassador Rev. Dr. Annie Onu, on Saturday, January 20, distributed food palliatives to widows from the 17 Local Government Areas of Abia State.

Annie's Hope Foundation is a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) which empowers widows, youths and the less privileged.
Speaking to ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER (AFNEWS), at the event tagged; "Praise Thanksgiving Palliative ProgramÔÇØ, held at Michael Okpara auditorium in Umuahia, Dr. Onu noted that the empowerment was also in celebration of the victory of governor Alex Otti at the supreme court.

She stated that the governor has been doing well since he came into power and therefore deserves all the necessary support to boost his "New Abia" agenda.

"Anything we can do to support this government to achieve the vision of a new Abia, we will do it" she said.
Speaking also, Ferdinand Ekeoma, the Special Adviser on Media And Publicity to the Abia state governor, described the initiative as a welcome development which is commendable and should be encouraged by all.

"this initiative to a great extent, will wipe the tears of the widows" he added.
Asked if the gathering was a political gathering, Ekeoma noted that it was an individual's arrangement and has nothing to do with the Abia state government.

"Anything that has to do with the empowerment of our people, the government of Dr Alex Otti will always cue in"' he added.

Grace Ogbonna from Ohafia LGA who has been a widow for 23 years, expressed gratitude to Annie's Hope foundation for remembering the widows and prayed that God will continue blessing the founder.

"If our leaders can be treating us like this, nobody will be poor. If they can remember the widows and orphans with the little they have like Dr Annie, things will not be so difficult" she stated.
