APC CONVENTION: Why Aspirants Should Respect Zoning- Group | DETAILS
A political group known as Credible Alliance for Better Nigeria (CABN) under the support of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) has urged all aspirants contesting for positions during the APC to adhere to the rules and regulations of the party for the success of the convention.

The group advised the party to stick to the zoning arrangement of various political position as only it would guarantee emergence of right leaders and deter politicians from hijacking the process for their selfish interest.

The national coordinator of the group, Dr. Ahmed Badanga, in a press conference yesterday said that the group is in alignment with the stance of President Muhammadu Buhari as unlike him, the actions of the leaders antagonizes the progress of the party and cautioned them to desist from actions that would thwart the zoning arrangement of the party come March 26.

He said the group cannot continue folding its arms in the face of what he called a huge threat to the party because of the ambition of a few party leaders.

"As major stakeholders in the APC, we want to urge all leaders and their followers within the party to respect the adopted zoning arrangement and respect party supremacy. Party leaders and governors should lead by example.

"We are appealing to the Convention Planning Committee, especially the Screening Committee and the Screening Appeals Committee, to have the courage to do the right thing by disqualifying any aspirant that applies for a position that's not zoned to his region of originÔÇØ he added.
