APC'S INFANTILE AND DESPERATE MOVES IN ABIA STATE

The attention of the Abia State PDP Central Campaign Council has been drawn to a video circulating on social media where a young man, who works with the Focal Person of the Social Investment Office in the State was seen making what seemed to be incoherent statements.
The gravamen of the video was to manipulate and distort information and give the impression that the PDP was involved in preparing results for the Presidential elections in Abia State.
It is funny and preposterous to say the least. The PDP does not need to manipulate results of Presidential elections in Abia State. It is a well known fact that the PDP will, easily win the Presidential elections in Abia State.

Please note that the video was recorded at the Umuahia Campaign Office of Uche Ogar, the APC Gubernatorial Candidate in Abia State, where the young man, one Mr. Felix was beaten to a pulp and made to make those statements.

Yesterday, a fake text message was circulated to all Npower beneficiaries in Abia State, inviting them to a meeting with the SA to the President on Social Investment at the APC Campaign Office at Umuahia. When we got wind of this plan, the Abia State Office for Social Investment made inquiries at the office of the Vice President and confirmed that no such meeting was called by anyone. Armed with this information, the State Office, using established communication channels, informed the beneficiaries to ignore the notice of meeting. This became necessary because at all times, any meetings involving the Npower scheme in Abia State are done in conjunction with the State Office and at designated venues, and not the APC Campaign Office.

Irked by this development, the APC then started tracking the workers of the State Office. They used a cloned number to call Mr. Felix and tracked him to somewhere around the Methodist Cathedral Umuahia where they abducted him to the APC Campaign Office. There, they beat him mercilessly and planted documents on him. It was after a few hours that we got wind of what was happening and reported to the DSS that the officers stormed the Campaign Office and rescued the young man who is now giving useful information to the security agencies.

One would ask why the young man was not taken to a Police Station, if indeed he was properly arrested?
Who was the man interrogating him in the video and why was his face not shown?

When did the APC Campaign Office in Umuahia become a venue for interrogation of suspects?
The legal implications of statements made under such circumstances are well known to lawyers. Even the video itself was poorly made and shows a clear disconnect between the sounds heard and the real words uttered by Mr Felix.

We are also aware of the criminal role played by one mercenary internet journalist based in Umuahia who is working for the APC. He, it was, who arranged for the video recording and pushed it to some internet blogs for circulation. He is currently on the run but he won't run for too long.

To put a final lie to their childish and desperate antics, how come Mr. Chinenye Nwaogu, the State Focal Person who was allegedly implicated in the amateurish video has not been arrested but is instead working closely with security agencies in the state to apprehend the criminals who were behind this?

The PDP Central Campaign Council wishes to reassure Members of our party and the general Public that the video in circulation is nothing but the desperate antics of a party who have no foothold in Abia State.
More details will follow shortly. Security agencies are currently working round the clock on this matter.
Finally, the APC should have known by now that Abia State is a no go area for them. They simply cannot win elections here. Our people are not comfortable with them. Again, Uche Ogah is incapable of defeating Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in any election. In 2015, as a PDP member, he tried to become Governor through the windows and he failed. This time, his resort to unconventional and guerrilla tactics will fail too. Writing election results and looking for who to plant it on is not only stupid but extremely infantile. Ogah should be more creative.
We know the game plan of the APC in Abia State, namely to create a semblance of of insecurity and panic here in the forlorn hope that "help" will come from Abuja. That again, will fail.
