Arsenal's head of recruitment James Ellis sent a scout to watch Sporting CP's 1-1 league draw against Benfica at the Estadio da Luz, where Trincao scored. Gyokeres bagged the assist.
The Gunners 'currently only send scouts in the most advanced processes', as per Record.
Gyokeres is reportedly one of the prime striker targets for the Gunners, while it is mentioned that Arsenal have looked at Diomande since his teenage years at Midtjylland.

He has a shot-to-goal conversion rate of 29 percent and has also impressed with his link-up play in the final third. He would be an upgrade on Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.
It has already been reported that Arsenal have offered £63 million on the table, but Sporting CP hope to receive a higher package, with London rivals Chelsea also in the race. He could be one of five players leaving Sporting CP this summer.

However, he has been prone to occasional defensive errors, conceding four penalties in all competitions. Despite the early hype, the 21-year-old may not be up to the Gunners' standard, in our view.

Arsenal could still trust his potential and purchase him. He has a release clause worth £67m in his deal, but Sporting CP could be willing to accept £51m. He has the same agents as Kai Havertz.
The Gunners may consider Diomande as a long-term successor to William Saliba. He could play as an understudy before replacing the Frenchman, who is on Real Madrid's radar.
