Hon. Augustine Akomas hails from Nenu Autonomous Community in Obingwa LGA of Abia State.

Hon. Augustine Akomas started his education career from Nenu Community Primary School in Obingwa LGA, where he obtained his first school leaving certificate (FSLC) with distinction. He immediately enrolled into Nenu community secondary school in the same Obingwa LGA and finished at Oboro Secondary School in Ikwuano LGA of Abia State.
Hon. Augustine Akomas proceeded to another prestigious institution for his higher education after a sterling performance both in his WAEC and JAMB examinations. This time, the most prestigious Abia State University Uturu, admitted to study Banking and finance, he later graduated as a departmental President of the National Association of Banking and Finance Students NABAFS ABSU Chapter.

Former Secretary, Nenu Youth Organization, President, Mgboko Umuanunu Youth Assembly, Convener, Maduforo Youth Movement, "Founder, It's Working" and the present Councilor Representing Aba Motor Park, The Chief Whip of Aba South Legislative Council and the House Committee Chairman on Education (ASLC).

During the last Easter celebration, the chief whip of Aba south legislative council, Hon. Augustine Akomas, donated rappers, among other items to the widows of his ward.
In a bid to key into the efforts of the Governor Okezie Ikpeazu led administration in the education sector, the Councilor Representing Aba South and Chief Whip of the House, Honourable Augustine Akomas distributed instructional cum writing materials to pupils of Constitution Crescent Aba.
The gesture, which is part of his Constituency project aimed at encouraging pupils to be studious, is among projects embarked by the Councilor since he assumed office January, in January, 2021.
Hon. Augustine Akomas single handedly sponsored the training of 50 graduates in various skills acquisition trainings like soap making, detergent making, perfume making and many others.
