Armed bandits have reportedly imposed a strict curfew on residents of Bilbis town in Tsafe Local Government Area, demanding a 30 million levy from the community before lifting the siege.

The alarming development was disclosed by security analyst Zagazola Bakatsine, who revealed that the gunmen have effectively placed the community under lockdown.

Bilbis town is the hometown of Ikira Aliyu Bilbis, a serving senator representing the Zamfara Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly.

According to reports circulating on security monitoring platforms, the bandits ordered residents to remain indoors while they enforce a curfew across the town.

The armed group reportedly warned that normal activities would not resume until the community pays the demanded 30 million.
"Zamfara under siege: Armed bandits have imposed a curfew and a 30 million levy on residents of Bilbis town in Tsafe LGA, Bakatsine stated in an update.
The development has left residents living in fear as the armed men continue to monitor movements within the area.

Local sources say the gunmen have created an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty, forcing families to remain indoors while businesses and markets remain shut.
