Bank Will Never Ask For Your Card Details - NCC Tells Subscribers

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), has warned telecom subscribers against falling for scammers posing as representatives of their various bank institutions.

The NCC, advises subscribers against release their personal information to impostors as legitimate financial institutions will never call their customers on phone or through text messages, requesting for their card details or other information.

The NCC is the independent National Regulatory Authority for the telecommunications industry in Nigeria.

"The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is urging all subscribers to be smart in responding to requests from any purported financial institution requesting card details. Your bank will never ask for your card details."

The Regulatory Body, also reminds Nigerians not to release their Personal Information Number (PIN), Bank Verification Number (BVN), National Identification Number, and others to unverified persons.
