Bashir Nura Alkali Assumes Office As The Permanent Secretary, Fed. Min. Of Works

Bashir Nura Alkali fcn, who after handing over to Dr. Nasir Sani Gwarzo the newly deployed permanent secretary of Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, alongside his entourage and well-wishers proceeded to assume duty at Ministry of works and housing.

Bashir Nura Alkali was received by all the directors at Federal ministry of Works and Housing who welcomed him and rejoiced over the approval of the deployment by President Muhammadu Buhari.

While delivering his welcome remarks, Engineer Uzo who oversaw the activities of the office of the permanent secretary for two months before the deployment expressed his delight though overwhelmed by the number of people that accompanied the permanent secretary from Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs. Uzo detailed that he has no doubt that they are in good hand looking at the high number of entourage that accompanied the permanent secretary, he opined that it is a sign that the permanent secretary has done very well at ministry of humanitarian affairs.

"In few minutes' sir, I am going to handover two handing over documents to you, the one I received from the outgoing permanent secretary and the one from me. Working in the ministry of Works and Housing has never been a cake walk, sometimes we stay at the office and work even during weekends but I am certain sir, that you are equal to the tasks'' Uzo said before he proceeded to handover the documents to Bashir Nura Alkali.

In his remarks the permanent Secretary, Bashir Nura Alkali fcn, said he is glad to be at the ministry and in the midst of engineers and architects, he assured every staff of the ministry that he is fully ready to discharge his duties without any relent.

'' I know it is not going to be an easy task, because the experience here is huge and challenging and definitely if you can handle Federal Ministry of Works and Housing I believe you can manage anywhere in Nigeria. I must say that I am impressed with the array of professionalism I have seen by the way of introduction therefore; I don't think I am going to have any problem here that will not be provided with a solution. I will listen to your problems and we shall work together to attain success, let me assure you that I am a very good listener and I believe that every problem you come with I will listen and we shall come up with a lasting solution to it.'' The permanent secretary concluded.
