BENUE SOUTH: Abba Moro Floors Onjeh, Ojobo To Win 2nd Term
Distinguished Senator Abba Patrick Moro, the incumbent Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District at the 9th National Assembly and Candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP), has defeated Comrade Daniel Onjeh of All Progressive Congress (APC) and Honourable Joseph Ojobo of Labour Party (LP) to retain his 2nd term.

Announcing the results of the keenly contested election on Monday, 27th February, 2023 at INEC Collation Centre Otukpo, the INEC Chief Returning Officer for Benue South Senatorial election and a Lecturer at JS Tarka University Makurdi, Prof Robert Tee said; "Having satisfied the requirement of the law and scored the highest number of votes, Abba Patrick Moro is hereby declared the winner of the Benue South Senatorial election held on the 25th of February, 2023, and is returned ELECTED,".

According to the results, Senator Moro of PDP scored 76,459 votes to beat his closest rival and candidate of APC, Comr Daniel Onjeh who scored 59,959 votes.

Hon Joseph Ojobo of LP scored 40,194 votes to come 3rd.
