Bishop Kukah: ECWA ReveaIs What It Will Do To Anyone Who Attempts To Harm Kukah

The Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA has said it will respond to any move from any faction that would attempt to harm Bishop Mathew Kukah.
AFNews understands that there were threats of arrest and prosecution of the Catholic Bishop following his Christmas message to Nigerians.

The Sokoto Archdiocese of the Catholic Church had condemned the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari, noting that the Nigerian leader has failed to solve the insecurity situation in the country.

According to Kukah, all that Buhari has done would have led to a coup had it been he was not from the north.
Following the revered Bishop's statement, the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, AYCF, in a statement by its National President, Alhaji Yerima Shettima, said that Bishop Kukah should be arrested for his comment which is capable of inciting violence.

According to the group, Kukah's statement is capable of 'destabilizing Nigeria and shouldn't be treated with mild hands.'

However, ECWA's General Secretary, Rev. Yunusa Sabo Nmadu Jnr, while reacting to the calls for Bishop Kukah's arrest, said President Muhammadu Buhari would be held responsible if anything happens to respected clergy.
According to Nmadu, the Christian leader has spoken the mind of the people and hence any attempt to harm him is a joke.

He stressed that "Some of the uncharitable groups have even called for the arrest of our revered Bishop. Arrest a man that spoke the minds of millions of Nigerian? They must be joking.ÔÇØ
Nmadu's statement added that "The Bishop has spoken our minds, and we will resist any attempt by any group or agency of Government to harm him. Enough of this intimidation.

"This style of governance to silent dissent voices by the Major General Muhammadu Buhari led administration is unacceptable and must be resisted.

"We invite the international community and Nigerians to hold General Buhari and his government responsible should anything happen to Bishop Kukah.ÔÇØ

According to the ECWA clergy, 'nepotism was at its peak under the Buhari-led administration urging the federal government to look deeply into the Bishop's submissions.
He added: "As a matter of fact, Nepotism under General Buhari administration is topnotch. This administration has a first-class in nepotism and maladministration.

"The Federal Government must immediately take steps towards addressing those concerns raised by Bishop Kukah, rather than sponsoring fake groups to attack the revered Bishop.ÔÇØ

On his part earlier, the senior pastor of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, Apostle Johnson Suleman has warned against any attempt to arrest or attack the Bishop of Sokoto Catholic Diocese, Most Reverend Father Mathew Hassan Kukah.
