Boko Haram: New Attacks on Travelers in Borno State

The gunmen suspected to be members of Boko Haram, have continued to carry out reprisal attacks on innocent Citizens who that were conveying their goods to Maiduguri. Reports made known to us has it that thee Boko Haram insurgents stormed Auno, a village in Borno State, at exactly 9:50pm yesterday.

According to a source who spoke to Af News, "They fired and burnt some cars immediately they arrived and caused tensions among the residentsÔÇØ.

An eye witness, named withheld, told our reporter that the Boko Haram insurgents arrived Auno at exactly 9:45 pm and operated for more than 3 hours before the lethal agents departed into bushes.

The village Auno which was attacked, is less than 5km to the International Airport and travelers were not spared. The witness said "30 people were killed and many abducted as a result of the fresh attack.ÔÇØ Cars, buses and loads of the travelers also got burnt in the new plague.

This fresh attack shows that some parts of Borno state are still under the aegis of Boko haram.
