BREAKING (DELTA): Drivers, Others Feared Dead As Tankers Go Up In Flames | DETAILS

Two persons, a trailer driver and his conductor have been reported dead around Ohoror junction along the East-West road in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

DAILY POST gathered that the deceased were burnt beyond recognition.

Three trailers and a crude oil-laden tanker were also burnt down completely.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, January 27.

It was learnt that a trailer conveying granite was trying to overtake the tanker ladened with crude oil when it clashed with the tanker and it went up in flames.

At the time of filing this report, the fire was still on as firefighters were battling to quench the raging inferno.

The Delta State Police Command led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali, confirmed the report in a telephone chat with DAILY POST through the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.

The police imagemaker said, "It's confirmed, but the report I got is one person that died.
