BREAKING: How Police Rescued Abducted UNIABUJA Staff, Arrested Suspects

The FCT Police Command says it has rescued all the 6 persons abducted by gunmen from the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA).

Recall that gunmen had on Monday, invaded the staff quarters of the institution abducting six persons including professors. They had reportedly made contact 24 hours later, demanding for a N300M ransom.

A statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Josephine Adeh, stated that the FCT police command in a joint operation with sister agencies, saw to the rescue of the victims and arrest of some suspects.

The FCT Police Command wishes to inform members of the public that all abducted victims of the University of Abuja were rescued and reunited with their families through a joint operation with other security agencies. More details coming soon.
