BREAKING: Nigeria Senate passes budget for second reading

The Senate on Thursday passed the 2021 budget for second reading after a three-day debate on its general principles.

The president of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, asked the Committee on Appropriation to work on the fiscal document and report back in four weeks.

The President Major General Muhammadu Buhari had presented N13.08trn budget estimates to the joint session of the National Assembly last Thursday for the consideration of the federal lawmakers.
