Buhari Outlines Strategy For Eradicating Poverty By 2030

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has reassured citizens that his government is not kidding about poverty alleviation.

Buhari said that no government has come up with programs that will help the youth has improved the efforts of his administration.

Speaking on Twitter, the president said the number of people benefiting from his government's policies had increased.

Buhari made this known on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at 4:09 p.m.

"We remain committed to the plan to lift 100m Nigerians out of poverty." Said the President.

@MBuhari said: "We remain committed to the plan to lift 100m Nigerians out of poverty. To this end I have approved an increase in scope of our Social Investment Programme: Doubling of npower_ng beneficiaries to 1 million; 1 million new geep_ng".

The incumbent APC government has introduced the GEEP Government Enterprise and Empowerment Program to support the less privileged.
