TENSION: Charly Boy Reveals What Will Happen In Nigeria If Peter Obi Is Arrested

"Maverick entertainer Charly Boy has warned of severe consequences if Peter Obi is arrested over a planned protest against the current administration. He challenges the Presidency's alleged plot, questioning their motives and readiness for public reaction."

Maverick entertainer, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has voiced his anger over an alleged plot to arrest Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the last election. According to the Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR), there is a purported plan by the Presidency to detain the former Anambra State Governor due to the planned nationwide protest set for August.

Bayo Onanuga, a presidential spokesman, accused Peter Obi's supporters of organizing the protest. Responding to these allegations, Yunusa Tanko of POMR stated that reliable sources confirm the allegations are a pretext to arrest Obi.

Charly Boy took to his official X handle to question why the Presidency would hold Obi responsible for the protest, which is aimed at addressing the nation's hardship. He challenged the authorities to arrest Obi and witness the repercussions.

He wrote in pidgin, "Abeg I wan understand something, so Nigerians - BAT supporters join - wan gather protest against Tinubu's bad government and horrible tenure, but na Peter Obi dem wan hold accountable by arresting am? Okay na!! Let's go! Make una try that arrest and see what will happen as una think say una dey untouchable therefore can do anything. We dey dey look and wait".
