Chief Chinasa Lauds Dr. Ezeala, Emphasizes Importance of Reading Culture

In a bid to promote intellectual empowerment and foster societal development, prominent Labour Party leader, Chief Iheanyi Frank Chinasa, has emphasized the need for cultivating a strong reading culture. He made this assertion during the recent launch of three books authored by Dr. Okey Ezeala, which took place at an event graced by eminent personalities.

Chief Chinasa lauded Dr. Ezeala for his creativity and dedication to intellectual growth, describing his books as thought-provoking works that challenge conventional thinking. The titles, "Tyranny of the Weak," "Teenage Wish," and "Odiuko: The Mother Africa Needs," were presented at the event and commended for their depth and relevance in today's society.

Speaking during the launch, Chief Chinasa said, "The acquisition of knowledge remains the fastest and most effective way to develop both the human mind and society at large. These books serve as intellectual bestsellers that provoke the mind to question the existing status quo.ÔÇØ

In a move to further demonstrate his commitment to intellectual empowerment, Chief Chinasa announced the purchase of 1,000 copies of Dr. Ezeala's books. These copies are slated for distribution to students in Bende Local Government Area, where Chief Chinasa hails from, as part of his effort to encourage young people to cultivate a reading habit.

"The future of our society lies in the hands of our youth, and equipping them with the knowledge to think critically is the best investment we can make," he stated while presenting the donation.

The book launch event, which was chaired by Justice Benson Anya, attracted notable figures from different sectors. Among the dignitaries in attendance were Hon. Emmanuel Ndubuisi, Member representing Bende South in the Abia State House of Assembly; Prof. Joel Ogbonna, Honorable Commissioner for Petroleum Resources; Pastor Ralph Egbu, former Secretary to the Abia State Government; and Prof. Hagler Okoro, former Rector of Abia State Polytechnic. The Abia State Commissioner for Youth and Sports was also represented by a director from the ministry.

The presence of these dignitaries further highlighted the significance of the event and the importance of the initiative spearheaded by Chief Chinasa in promoting intellectual development among the youth.
